Im just starting out racing and Im looking for a good set of tires that wont have to be replaced every weekend. Ive usually heard prolines are the best but have recently heard they have problems with their foam inserts and they wear pretty fast. Since Im just starting I dont need the best of the best but something that will keep me planted and controlled.
Sorry heres a vid of the tack. That would help right.lol

Sportwerks and Team Losi make good premounts, only because they're cheap. I know GRP makes a good tire that lasts longer than most, but Pro-Line is still your best bet BUT your most expensive choice.

I have the sportwerks now and they dont seem to be cutting it on the track. I do need to learn better throttle control but the car seems to slide around more than anyone elses. I also noticed after only a couple runs the middle of the tire seems to be really worn, not all the way but more than I expected. Any other recommendations? Is this normal wear for this type of track?

I have the WHOOPS II, and they have been the best tires i've used. Very long lasting tire even under the RB C4 and my heavy trigger finger [>:]

They should be out in the next week or two in medium compound. AKA is a spin off of kyosho america. A main might have them listed as they already have the MP9 on their site. These tires are long lasting on any track surface.

Sounds good, it depends on the price though. I know Kyosho products are pretty expensive but if they last they may be a better investment.

The best thing about the AKA tires is that the foam they come with will last probably 5-10 sets of tires! The foam is revolutionary and will outlast anyting on the market tenfold!

sportwerks tires Suck donkey ballz....sure there cheap...but will only last a couple rounds......Proline's imo suck...especially the foams ........Losi premounts from kits SUCK....bought premounts seem to be alot better.......as for tread and which will last longer......does that track groove out bad ? or is it loose all the time ?...badlands would be an option...and can easily last over a season...other then that your kinda stuck to crime/bow style tires....unless u get into a Real small pin tire that wont last the weekend for sure......i would look into Panter komodo dragons or Gator's....werks W's or Lugs......Proline Chameleon tires would be another alternative....but would need to swap out the foams No questions asked.....go on A-main and search through every company's list of tires.....then decide for yourself....but bewarned....u NEED new foams on proline's.

Thanks for the help, Ill probably just order the Losi premounts since there near the sportswerks price and people seem to like them. Now I just need to learn how to drive better and take jumps.lol

i like Panther and GRP tires, tread is up to you. Like i said, Losi premounts are good, but like Integra said, the kit premounts are terrible. I like Sportwerks for club races but i run Crime-Fighters for bigger races....and the Pro-Line foams...just garbage.

AKA Pre-mounts should be available by next week hopefully. The foam will last for 5-10 sets of tires. The tread also has better wear than any on the market.
I-beam or Cityblock are the current treadpatterns and they seem to work great on every track!
