I got my new Hyper 7 black edition broken in today but later I broke my pull start.[:@] Can anybody link me a site that sells pullstarts for the hyper 7's? I have the .21 3port engine if that helps to find which one. If so let me know thanks[8D]

Thanks, well what I usually do is pull a quick fast one and then it usually fires up I guess my glow starter was low battery and I was just too excited to tell so I kept pulling it.

I have an older Ofna Ultra MBX with a Picco and I've broken a few pullstarts over the years. There are a few good threads on the internet showing how to rebuild them...using a couple small zip ties to hold everthing together and not slice-up your fingers doing it. I repaired mine recently in about 10 minuets, and it works better than ever.

OK, maybe I'll get hung drawn and quartered for this....but i have a XTM-Xterminator XT-2 RTR with the XTM .21 engine with a pull start. It was my first every RC anything!! (still have it) I broke the pull start twice (once the exact same way you're talking about MERC) and finally gave up with it. I bought a bump starter and just cut the cord of the pull starter as close to the engine while it was pulled out all the way. Now i just use the bump starter and all is fine. Never replaced a thing on the motor (other than the plugs) and it still runs very well (it's my basher).
Maybe I'm wrong (and i've never asked) having done that rather than taking the pull starter assembly off and replacing it with a proper back plate, but everything still works fine and it starts right up. A lot easier than a pull starter by the way....[&:]

i was wondering why it breaks so easily.
if i get a new one from a .28 engine will it break just as easy
