Hey, i'm in the process of replacing my clutch bell. i,m running a stock 12t nonvented.
any suggestions on what replacement, i'd like more snap off the line. and really like to
go vented, this is my first buggy so, i'm kind of lost.... peace

I use HPI Race vented CB on my Hyper 8 pro and Hyper 8.5 pro but I think the smallest they make is 12 or 13 teeth. I use the 13 teeth on my Hypers. I all so use the HPI Race vented CB on my Savage and MT. If you want more punch or bottom end power you want to go smaller on the CB or bigger on the spur. For top end it is just the opposite.

FWIW HPI bells Suck...they are too short and cause the bottom of the shoes to show if you dont shim it properly....i would recommend a Ofna vented bell..the 3 vent not 4....its a deeper bell and makes shimming alot easier and imo its better quality.

On my Savage I have 9 plus gallons on the same CB and ran 8 gallons on my Hyper 8 before changing and still had life in it but the Ofna will be fine as well. Just make sure what ever you get is a hardened CB.

I just check a Ofna, Hobao and HPI CB and they are all the same thickness.

IF the thickness was the issue...i would have stated it.....its the depth....its Alot shorter then a Ofna.
