New to 1/8
Howdy. I just got me a new 1/8 buggy and I was just curious as to what tips and tricks there are to these suckers. I have a Traxxas Revo 2.5R already (although the engine dont work cuz my step dad didnt belive me when I said that afterrun oil is important). Anyway, the buggy I got was a slightly used Sportwerks something or other. I cant really tell what it is because of all the hop ups on it. I know that currently the front shocktower is the same as the rear and there is no wing and it has oversized tires. Looks more like a truck but I will fix that, lol. Oh, and does anyone know of any good tracks in San Antonio, TX?

RE: New to 1/8
It's probably a Mayhem. I don't see many guys race them but I'm sure people do. As far as tracks in San Antonio, I've seen someone here post video's of some racing there, but I don't recall the name of the track.

You should be good to go.. I would get a stater box (if you don't already have one) as it's a lot easier than other methods in my opinion.
Putting oil in the diffs is also a great way to up the performance of the buggy, but since you bought it "hopped-up" it might already have oil in there.
If I remember right Pro-Lines website has a great track finder that you might be able to use. Good Luck
