Best Glow Plug for Ofna Hyper .21 3-Port
Time to restock my glow plug stash.
What's the best overall plug to use on an ofna Hyper .21 3-Port in a Hyper 7 buggy, 20% nitro?
I used to run 1/10 scale and absolutely swore by the K&B 1L plugs, they were like a miracle plug for the .12 and .15 motors in the RS4's.
Looking for the best, lowest cost plug that will provide a good idle and decent life span.
Suggestions?

The manual for the Hyper-7 says "Do NOT buy hot plugs, like the MC-59". Is there a reason for this? The KB-1L is also a medium/hot plug. I can get the 1L's for a little over $3 each.

Yeah I dont know why OFNA said dont use LC3's they are a great long lasting plug. But I will say something also. You need to match your Glow Plug to the temps outside. The colder the hotter the plug you want. The hotter the weather the more "cold" or medium plug.

To many variables to say what heat range to run. Many days during the summer in 3 digit weather with 30% fuel I run a hot plug. Using a hotter plug than normal will advance the ignition point and a colder plug will retard the ignition. So if you do not cross the line you can fine tune an engine by what plug you run.

OK.
Thanks for the info.
I'm going to give the Mccoy's a shot, I got a pretty killer deal on ebay, I picked up 14 plugs (10 MC8's and 4 MC59's) for $36 shipped. Works out to $2.57 per plug. Going to gift a few to my brother in law for xmas since he's getting a hyper 7 which will be his first rc car.
