i want a new buggy
so guys im in the market for a new buggy. i wont be racing too much. im currently making a track in my backyard so its mainly gonna be me and a group of friends messing around. i currently have a ofna gt lx comp[ thats pretty much grabage. and a new robitronic protos. also a brushless b4 buggy. im most likely going to sell my ofna and my b4.
question is which buggy should i get? im looking to spend about 250. i have my own radio and receiver. anyone want to reccomend anything in my price range or give me a few to research? thanks guys.

RE: i want a new buggy
I say keep your electric to bash around and practice, sell your ofna, and add the $$$ from that sale to your $250. I strongly suggest you save up as much as possible, because when you get good, your skills will quickly surpass what any cheaper buggy can give you. I would say shoot for $450 to $500 so you can get a nice buggy kit that will last you no matter what your skills. Furthermore, such a buggy will serve you well even if you become expertly skilled.

RE: i want a new buggy
I'm going to reccomend a buggy you may not have heard of. GS Racing CL-1+. Check out our GS thread on this site and the one on rctech. This buggy is extremely popular in different countries and was handled by Horizon Hobbys for a while. It's now being sold by Amainhobbies.com for 279.99, this is a steal. This buggy can hang with any other buggy on the market. They started at 399.99 are now at 279.99 due to GS's lack of publicity which is due to lack of advertising. In Taiwan, Portugal, Spain, the Phillipeens etc. this buggy is as popular as Losi's and OFNA's are here. Their lack of popularity is our gain, we can buy a race ready roller for 280 bucks. I know the last GS buggy, the Storm, to be durable and raceable. Although I havn't raced my Cl-1 yet I've heard from those who have that say it's GS's best yet. The only drawback is that you may have to order a part if your hobby shop can't get them. This is the only kit in your general price range that you can bash and race as your skills grow. And I'd reccomend it at any price. They also have a new version of the old Storm called the Storm Evolution RTR in the same price range. If you don't like this one check out OFNA line, they may have one in your price range. Good luck with whatever you buy and above all have fun!
