Is Axial .28 Spec 1S good?
My engine died. Then I accidentally tore off a piece of it. Don't ask.
I'm looking at new engines for my Thunder Tiger EB4 S2 Pro.
I've settled on this one, the Is Axial .28 Spec 1S, and I am planning on getting the turbo button wheel with turbo glow plug also.
Can anyone tell me anything about this choice?

Thanks!

They're decent low-maintenance budget basher engines IMO. For the same money though I would opt for a Mach 427 or Sportwerks 26. I ran a Mach in my Asso RC8, and it was VERY quick...
Look on ebay.com Lots of guys sell their Machs out of RTR Losis.
Or, go to www.losipartshouse.com Get the Mach with the silver head.

The Axial is a torque engine, with not a lot of high end. The Mach is a screamer. I would say the Mach is a tad bit more reliable too - you're less likely to have bearing and carb issues. Give me a sec, I'll try to find that vid clip of my RC8...
I run the stock Mach in my LST2, a SW 26 in my Savage, and a silver Mach in my truggy(and that one weekend in the buggy....) It ROCKS in a buggy...... No joke...

This was my first weekend running buggy ever... And going into the finals I was 5th from 20. Given, it's an illegal engine cuz it's not a 21... But still, it was fun to run it...
The best match I have found for the Mach is the stock Muggy pipe and header. Probably cheap to find on ebay. I was running an expensive-ish Fioroni clutch. But I would recommend some Dynamite Max Life clutch shoes...
But careful!!! The Losi Spinstart backplate will almost definitely be too big for your engine-mount. So you will have two choices: 1.) Convert to bumpstart(I did.. Makes it even faster. BUT, I know, it's expensive...) Or 2.) Track down the rotostart backplate for the XTM 24.7.. This works with the HPI rotostart type starter, and is quite a bit smaller than the Losi backplate. If you're good at modding stuff though just get a Mach and figure out how to make it work on your own.. Those two options though I mentioned are the results of my doing the research in forums...
Good luck...
ps If you can find a Sportwerks 26 you might be better off.. Not sure if they also have the huge Losi backplates. Sometimes I see them going on ebay.com for great prices including pipe, clutch, etc... all out of a Mayhem... Defo worth $140 or so for the whole shebang...

Yep. There just aren't that many philosophers comparatively speaking. Though, perhaps there is something existentially significant about the absence of philosophical RC enthusiasts. Combination of the mundane and the profound might be the explanation, though Jesus was a great teacher and a carpenter. So, I'm in good company.

Rene Descartes walks into a bar. The bartender says "Can I get you a beer", and Descartes says "I think not...."
And then POOF!!!!, he disappears...
OK, that's my philosophy joke for the day.....
