aka city blocks. Far better wear and grip than bow-ties or fighters.

+1 on the city blocks. However, if it is a med traction track, consider some panther komodo dragon 2's in soft compound. Don't get the super softs. When I had a an eight these worked great in those conditions. I mounted them on advantage multispoke wheels. It was a light and durable setup. I'm not saying get them, but go to their site and have a look at them and consider them.

I am also using crimefighters and Panther Komodo's. IMO, the panthers are the best for our track. Mixed surface, hard packed in some areas and loamy in others. Also, using the MS as the softs wear exceptionally quickly. The only thing I would add to the panthers if you choose them, is some molded inserts, they are much better like that.
