hey;
i want to get a buggy to race with but dont know which to get the options are: 1)used hyper 8 2) used x1cr . 3) lrp s8bx .
the hyper 8 will cost me the least and it will come with big bore shocks qnd no electronics , the x1cr will cost be me more but will come with a jp engine , alumunim braces and front knuckles , carbon fibe chassis part , and jr digital servos , and my 3rd choice is a stock rtr new lrp s8bx ;; the used x1cr and the s8bx cost about the same
im looking for a durable but comepetive buggy , my lhs carries parts for the s8bx but the x1cr parts r available in a hs about 40 min away but i dont mind ordering parts online
which one should i go for ??
thanks

The Jammin and The Hyper are the better cars IMHO. Both handle pretty similar, and should be good first racers for you. I still have my Hyper 8, it's a great "Turn'n'Burn" car. That means, you can sling it into a corner, and power out of it. That makes it easier to drive fast.

hmm , im leaning towards the x1cr myself but i did a research about the s8bx and it turns out there are alot of good reviews about it , and the rtr costs about the same as the used x1cr thats y im having a difficult time to decide on which to get, but when i saw the s8bx there was alot of play in the steering,camber , and caster and from wat i know thats a bad thing thats wat made me change my mind from the s8bx to the x1cr and the other reason im leaning toward the x1cr is because of the upgrades it will come with but still im not sure; need more input from the people who own these buggies

If I had to choose from the 3, I would go for the Jammin. Digital servos and upgrades make it tempting. does it have big bores? is the motor a jpx.21? if it is, how much fuel has been ran thru? was it broken in right? just things to think about when buying used. just make sure to inspect it very thoroughly for any wear or problem areas. Hyper 8's are great too.good luck

i inspected the buggy , and the engine is a jp .21 with 10 tanks on it and proper beak in was done but the screws are all rusted , the hobby shop is selling it for someone so i told the guy at the hobby shop to replace all the screws and clean the car then i m8 consider buying it if everything works fine , and no it doesnt have big bores but i might replace the shocks with the s8bx 17.5mm big bore shocks they seem pretty good
