Default Servo's Acting up

Ok so in my CENMatrix C-1 the stock skyion servos have been acting really wierd...... if my servos are on and my radio is when i go to start my engine with my starter box the throttle and steering servos start moving back and forth... and then when the engine starts it continues to do the same thing.... the servos just start "twitching" the thing is if the engine is off or its just sitting on the starter box, it doesnt do it, its only when i try to start the engine and the engine is running... to add on to that, if i turn off the radio they default back to there center position. If i turn off the servos well then obviously they dont move... now when i put my glow plug wrench down the engine and accidently touch the side of the cooling head the servos twitch, same with when i put the glow igniter down there.... anyone have any ideas as to what is happening???

If you're running a FM or AM radio system, it's because when you contact metal on metal, it causes whatwe refer to as "noise" (a kind of frequency glitch that causes the receiver to confuse the trasnmitter for the metal-on-metal contact). If it happens when you are running, it's probaly because the linkages are rattling a little bit, causing even more "noise" and making the receiver freak out. The best way to try and solve it is to try to insulate the linkages and everything else contacting metal that can possibly rattle around with fuel line or something else similar (as in non-conductive). You can also invest in a 2.4ghz system, which is totally immune to things like that.

ill do the insulation first, its strange that it didnt do that until relatively recently... i would say in the last month or so, i had it setting away for a month and a half before that

Im going to get one of those spectrum radios in a couple of weeks, i need a lower front suspension arm as well..... those mailboxes really jump out at you, especially when your radio is acting up!!!

I have a hard time deciding between the futaba and the spektrum... the spektrum comes with an extra free receiver, and i have another car, and my LHS sells it for 209 but those futabas are nice to only problem i have heard is with analog servers, something to do with the failsafe, and im not into replacing the servos quite yet.. that will be a few more paychecks down the road....
