Maybe some are just like me and green to all this racing stuff. I thought a post with all the info in one place would be a good idea.

Hello, I just got a older GS Storm for a song that I will start racing with as soon as I get a few things for it. I will tweak and upgrade this car (within reason) and then get a different one once I become a better driver. I'll save all the high dollar upgrades for my next ride, but I am itching to start with what I got. Here is the race items I have so far...

Old GS storm/w pull start .21
3PK 75mhz synth Tx/Rx
3PB Magnum 75mhz PCM Tx/Rx
glo heater
Airplane/heli starter with hex start wand
Airplane feild box with power panel.
elec fuel pump
1s-12s lipo/nicd charger
heli 15% nitro fuel

thats it I beleive..

I want to scrap the pull start engine and get a better engine. Is everyone's starters 6mm hex?

What engine for about 150$?

What are good non digi servos?

maybe all the new guys can get all the info in one spot. I know I'll be asking a lot of questions.

thanks!

Garland

Your definatly gonna want to ditch the pullstart, probably go to a starter box, but you can use digital servos with a regular radio, as far as an engine, check out a main for the good prices, you can get a good race engine in the 200 dollar range, good luck.

Go the track and ask around. Heli fuel won't run right in car engines, and for $150, look at the Novarossi N21BF. it is $145 at amain.
