Default Factory Team RC8 electric conversion

Now that the conversions have been out for a while and have been tested by some of the best drivers out there...What is the best set-up right now for the RC8....I'm looking at the Associated conversion kit unless there is something better.....The big question is best motor esc combo for the RC8 conversion..I realize this may be a personal choice but would like to hear your opinions before I spend large summs of money...Thanks for the help!!

Just really depends on your budget.
The tekin systems are more than the castles but it really comes down to prefernce.

I'm a dealer for Castle so that would be a deciding factor for the motor/esc combo....

I Personally dont run the castle combo, but do run a mmm with another 1/8th motor, and must say im pretty pleased.
But you dont have to go with a combo. Best combo is probably an rx8 or mmm with a nue motor, but that can get pretty expensive. I havent seen no one run the novak combos, but there suppose to be decent also.

My suggestion is, at wholesale cost, buy two Castle combos. Then go with the conversion from www.RCProductDesigns.com

Most folks here are running the Castle and NEU products:

I have one of each(Tekin and Castle) and they are very comparable in power and performance. The Tekin has an edge in low RPM smoothness, but they perform pretty much the same. Here's the Tekin in my truggy:

Show-off......

Doesn't appear to be a shortage of power, just a 'slight' shortage on traction......

That's the problem with these new brushless systems, way too much freaking power. Several people at my local track are running electric conversions and most of the ones I've talked to have their ESCs dialed down below 50% power and it's still too much. They can't put all that power to the ground.

That electric truggy is pretty impressive!! Doing that back flip was pretty cool.....I think I'm going with the Associated conversion and the Castle Creations Momba Monster system with the 2200kv motor....

Yeah, showing off like that kinda makes the nitro guys cringe. However, since my truggy has won nearly every single race in which I've entered it, several more have popped up. There are 4 of them now, and if not for all the rain, we might have more. Our track has been a perpetual lake for almost 3 weeks. [:@]
