I have a Ofna hyper 7 and I am wanting to change out the stock shocks to some aftermarket shocks. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Links would be great this is my first adventure into nitro. Also what is a good wt of oil to run in the shocks (mostly bashing and messing around with my kids) Thanks for the help.

as far as oil...for bashing i'd run a little heavy....maybe 50wt losi oil or even 60wt....racing i personally run 45 in front and 40 in the rear..

I have the odonnells on my hyper best big bores for the money. All you have to do is assemble them. They even come with extra springs so you can ajust the stiffness to your liking. I run 40wt up front and 35wt in the rear. Grey springs in the front and white in the rear. The only thing you will have to buy is longer bolts and nuts for the top mount. I used the stock screws and bought short ones and put them in threw the front. They are just a little shorter than the stock shocks so you need to change to a different mounting hole at the top so the suspension doesn't stop on the shock.

thanks guys. RRoyPP what body do you have on your buggy and did it come painted or not? Will the same bodies fit on a hyper 7 and a MBX?

ProLine makes a crowd Pleazer 2.0 body for the Hyper 7 I like it better than the stock body personally. The odonnels are excellent shocks, also. I personally am using the stock shocks from a Hyper 9 and love em... good damping, just do not have the threaded bodies... you can also use the shocks from the hot bodies D8...
Realistically as long as the shock length is close to the length of the originals you will be good to go, the only thing you NEED to make sure of is that for the larger bore shocks you need longer standoffs so the springs clear the suspension linkages.
