Default Hyper 7-E Conversion

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">hey,
I recently bought a hyper 7 that has only been through break in for $50 =). So i thought i would do a brushlessconversionon it. I was searching for a conversion kit and i found the novak one. i saw the combo one too that has the motor andesc. but the motor and esc arent ROAR approved. so i was wondering if i could run a different brushless system with the conversion such as themambamonster or RX8. Or is there another conversion kit?

The Novak systems don't have a very good reputation for 1/8 applications. And I wouldn't worry about the ROAR approved thing. I don't know why it wouldn't be ROAR approved, but unless your gonna be racing at ROAR-sanctioned events like some big regional or national race, then it doesn't matter.

I believe www.rc-monster.com has conversion parts for the Hyper 7. For the motor/ESC, The Castle or Tekin system would be a much better idea.

It would but the novak systems for 1/8 applications tend to thermal after 10-15 mins of running. That is why it has a bad rep.
