I have been running the new Alpha Racing Tires that just came out. Been awesome for me, even coming from VP PRO tires which I loved before. Both times out with my Alpha Tires have put me in the A-main easily and running at the front of the pack more consistently.

I would have to say the top 5 all around Tires would be:
- Pro-line Crime Fighters.
- Pro-line Bow-tie
- Aka i Beams
- Proline Calibers
- Aka Crossbows.
Tire compound would depend on the track. These are what I consider the Top "all around" tires. Most manufacturers Have charts available through their websites that list the best tires for specific conditions. (ie...Wet, Dry, Clay, Sandy, Carpet etc...)

Hotshots are great tires, as long as track conditions are not very wet. The small tread patterns do not "self clean" so they fill up with mud and render them useless.

Honestly, the best thing to do is ask what the guys at your local track are running. Chances are there are 1 or 2 tires that most people are using and it is typically for a good reason. Here is a link to AKAracing'stire selection chart. http://www.raceaka.com/tire_chart.php
Almost all tire manufacturer's have something like this and they are usually pretty accurate as long as you know what your track surface is like. Do you plan racing it or just bashing it around?

HotBodies megabites are by far the best tire i have ever tried, and ive ran all that are listed except Alpha tires. its perfect on any track condition and last forever, i have 7 races on my truggy ones and it doesnt even look used. at the local buggy money race the tires went 1, 2 and 3 i think. i know the top 2 were running them for the first time. they were hooking up when nothing else was.

Yeah, alot of guys run crime fighters on my track. Alot of guys also use crimefighters when they are going to a track they've never run before because they are such a great all around tire. Can't go wrong with crimefighters.
