Default Weird Flameout problem

Hi.

I have a fair bit of knowledge with motors and cars, but I have a problem that I can’t solve:

MY engine intermittently flames out when landing from a jump.
I checked the buggy (chassis flex and all screws), plug, compression, head clearance, fuel tubes, tank, glow plug, clutch, bearings, fuel, carb, engine runs at 235F or about 110C.

I thought that it may be belly flop landing, but it happens in good landings as well.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance

Are you on the brakes when you're landing or are you spooling the motor up as you hit?

spooling = reving up the engine or getting the rpm's up, so you're tires are already spinning when you hit the back of the jump.

you could be hitting the flywheel against the ground when you land. are you landing on soft terrain?

The serface is very hard.
I did check under the fly wheel and I dont see scratches.

I will check for other marks, there may be rubbing elsewhere. Maybe the gears meshing changes on a hard bump.
Good ideas.

thanks guys

How many gallons are on your engine? It could be when engines get too loose they start flaming out. Maybe get it repinched.

So I checked and tightened everything before the race on sunday.
Made it through the heats. then in the final, engine stopped going around a slow bend.
Pit crew reported the engine ceased.
So last night I opend it upa nd found the crank shaft broke.
Never saw that coming

hmmmm!

I thought about it and I would rather not say.
I dont want to blast the manufacturer.
I have 6 of these engines and this was the first problem.
It lasted about 18 months and I can only atrribute it to a random issue.
thanks for understanding
