tires and wheels
 
trying to remove tires from rims seems to be a bit diffacult i was told to boil them please help

soak them in acetone....or debonder, but acetone is cheap.

Easiest way...

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place tires on a foil covered cookie sheet. TURN OVEN OFF. Immediately place cookie sheet on middle rack in oven. Let them stay in oven for about 45 minutes. Remove. Let cool to room temp, otherwise you can stretch tires. The glue should be crystalized and you shoul dbe able to pop tires off.

Really??? The oven??? Might have to try that one....Why wouldnt that warp the wheels?

The oven works best for me too. The downside is when I use the oven to "bake" my tires off, the next couploe of things I cook taste like rubber.

lol thats pretty sick. but why doesnt some company make a liquid that will like liquifie super glue? i would buy it.

it is called acetone, or nail polish remover...but plain acetone is cheaper, it is the active ingredient in nail polish remover. put enough in an airtight box to immerse the tire and leave em overnight, in the morning, the tires will come off.

Acetone works like a charm. Just soak overnight and they come off like they were never glued.

Yes Home Depot carries Acetone, Lowes probably carries also.

I'm afraid of using any kind of transdermal substance like acetone without plenty of protection.

Seriously, make sure you follow the safety precautions on this stuff.


P.S. Tower has debonder for sale, sorry guys looks like somebody else is making it already.
