fhm101, I will be at the Maxy race this year, Look me up and bring your engine with you and let me take a look at it, Maxy is a great guy and we talk together every once in a while through Bobby Moore. I will not cut down a fellow modifiers cuts, but i will help you get back some of your velocity that has been lost. The Berg is a great engine and if your having a problem with spooling to the top i can help there and maybe i can help spark a little love back for your engine. There is a Velocity imbalance between your crank and sleeve that has to be fixed. Rick
Rick, what info in my post regards this engine clued you to the velocity imbalance?

Porting is typically kept secret, especially good tricks... if you understand an engines inner movement and fuel flow you can , with some research , port an engine fairly easily... the thing to remember is that you dont want to nessesarily open ports but rather make them more fuel friendly, so that fuel can channel and flow efficiently. if you look inside some motors typically they have rough or square edges inside, this causes turbulance within an engine, if you were to "streamline" these moving parts you will reduce windage creating a more efficient engine. There are only 3 moving parts, you can modify 2 of them, crank and rod.. sleeve you can port to encourage fuel to flow efficiently... If there is anything else ive forgotten id like people to add to so we can all learn,

Oh yeah dont forget to lighten your fly wheel, it can however affect your idle so be careful ..
