Quick question about pipe
This is the OFNA 086 pipe right? http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info.php?products_id=767 whats the 'hong nor' means?
|
RE: Quick question about pipe
Hong Nor is the manufaturer that make parts and kits that are sold by Ofna in the US
Both Hong Nor and Ho Boa make Ofna stuff The Ofna 086 is a decent pipe |
RE: Quick question about pipe
The header isn't welded correctly. Build defect. I had thought it was a flashing issue that was easily fixed. Returning mine and getting a JP-2.

RE: Quick question about pipe
Had enough- I heard of alot of people saying that there ofna headers looked like that. SO a while back I took a nova header and an ofna header- results- they were pretty much the same. Both had the little flange there.

RE: Quick question about pipe
When I was tipped off to that issue I looked and the Nova header I had too, it was perfect.
All depends on what day of the week it's made I guess |
RE: Quick question about pipe
What kinda chaps me is that Ofna keeps making them. They just didn't make one bad batch. The just freaking keep pumping them out. How hard is it for that Chinese guy to re-align his weld jig..

RE: Quick question about pipe
When people stop buying them, then maybe they'll worry about it.
But at about half what a RB/NR pipe costs, I wouldn't expect that to happen any time soon $40 in pocket - 3-4 minutes with a dremal = A safisfied customer;) |
RE: Quick question about pipe
i've checked all my RB/Novarossi headers & they're all perfect:)
even my Picco 069 header was spot on:D that step is definitely not a good thing, if you have a step dremel it away for sure;) |
RE: Quick question about pipe
I just got in a JP-2 pipe that I had thought would have a good header on it. It's not centered quite right either. It's much better than the 086 pipe but still not spot on like it should be, still needs dremmeling. My OFNA starter box needed some new connectors for the wires and the bannana plugs didn't have the right size plastic backing pieces. The OFNA plug wrench I got doesn't have a spring for holding the plug in it. I'm kinda thinking of not buying anymore OFNA products.
