RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I finally got one of the XT2 and have yet to run it. But to me it looks pretty sweet.
Im just waiting to put my novarossi rx21 p5 into it before it runs |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Please tell us how it runs. I am very interested in this buggy.
|
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I definatly will. I decided not to put the RX21 P5 that i have into it I will keep that one in my original xterminator
Instead I picked up a RX21 P5 Hotmods so it should be fun |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I just bought this buggy yesterday. I got it at my local Hobbypeople for 369. The guys in the store all said it was really tough and a well designed buggy.
Im still breaking it in, but the engine is great, steering servo is powerful enough, and theres alot of metal. Im pretty happy with it I will post more feedback when I get it broken in. I have run 4 tanks so far. -Jeff |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Yeah the servo is nice for a stock buggy servo. Here are the specs I found on it
P-CS704/MG Applications where high power is necessary. This metal geared, ball bearing supported geartrain produces 14.6kg/cm 195oz/in of torque. Use this servo anytime high torque is necessary. For example; Steering on monster trucks and rudder on quarter scale aircraft. Specification Speed (4.8v) 0.17sec/60 deg Speed (6.0v) 0.15 sec/60 deg Torque (4.8v) 13kg/cm Torque (6.0v) 14.6kg/cm Dimensions 40.5 x 20 x 41mm Weight 46g |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I just ran my 6th tank in the buggy. I am going to start leaning it out a little bit at a time. I love it so far. Starts up easy and seems quick (even running pig rich)

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I took a good look at my buddies XT2 and drove it, and personally i dont like it. The whole thing seems off set for some reason, and it is heavier in the front when I jump it. I think I will just stick to my XT1 and once I want a new buggy I will get an OFNA hehe

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
I ran mine into a parked car(hit the tire dead on) at full speed and I only bent a shock tower. It was still drivable.

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Sounds like fun HAHAHA...
by the way your supposed to avoid hitting cars LOL |

OK I just ran my XT2 for the first weekend. I do know that the 24.7 is strong but i pulled it out without running it and is a zip lock bag. I dropped a Noverossi RX21 P5X and of course the motor rips but i got to say the buggy rips and handles great... I have 2 original xterminators and this thing handles WAY better. I took it to the track and was handling right along with all the others out there, and I did nothing to it but the motor. So i just got to say I love it so far and out of running the buggy for 3 days straight of hard running i had nothing get loose on me or brake. So if anyone is looking for a nice ride i suggest it.

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
That thing looks great mines coming in a couple weeks.
|
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Thanks it is a fun ride, and that pipe runs good for track use with the RX21... gives it a nice snap
|
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
ORIGINAL: Dale Gribble I am sure they will make a 2 speed if the original 2 speed conversion doesn't work... For a basher or an entry-level race buggy, it's awesome. |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Does any one know of anyone that sells these on the east coast if so please post a link. From what I understand they are going to make a pro model? Have any idea when it is going to be on the market and what is the difference? The only draw back I have is having to get parts from clear across the country.
|
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Im not sure who on the east carries them but you can go to www.hobbypeople.net or http://globalhobby.com and they ship fast. I have a hobby people close to me but have ordered from them and there fast. PLUS when order online no tax.

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Thanks I know about them but still wishing there was a site showing more pictures and specifications. Matter of fact I am impressed with Hobby People as I ordered an XTM sliding clutch from them for my Savage last Saturday and I did not think it would get here till next week because of this being a holiday week. Guess what it got here today so I am very pleased with there service and might have time to get my Savage read to race for Friday evening. My MT will not be ready but at least my Savage should.
I noticed that the XTM big block engines are very low RPM compression to others. I still think for the money the XTM 2 Terminator is the best bang for the buck! I have done a lot of looking and asking questions. I hope with my health and work situation I can get the money to get one in the next couple of months. I really want a buggy and sure cannot afford one of the high dollar ones! Do people think you can be competitive with the high dollar buggies with the XTM? Do they by chance make it in a kit? Thanks again for the input! |
RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
Boy I feel stupid it was right under my nose all the time, as I found most of the specifications I was looking for. I am guessing since I cannot find a listing they do not make this in a kit. I really do no want a RTR. How is XTM customer service, warranty and technical support?

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
46u, the Pro version is supposed to be out next month, from what I hear. the old Pro version ran for about $300 and was a rolling chassis.

RE: XT2(X-Terminator 2)
well the old Pro had the carbon fiber radio tray and the 5mm shock towers and the upgraded chassis braces, and had dish wheels and no tires with a clear body. Also had a 7076 aluminum chassis and some other goodies.
I'm gonna assume that the new XT2 pro will be the same sort of deal, and since what they did with the XT2 is beef up the chassis bracing and all that, and as tough as my XT1 is, this should be one tough little moffacka;) |
