GRP .21 Tuned Engine

With this engine I'm allowed to run 20% fuel right as long as I get the right plug for it and not use the turbo plug that comes with it?

It'll run as is.

As is meaning that I can run it with the turbo plug and 20% fuel?

I reckon this engine is shimmed for 30% fuel and lot of people are using the OS P3 plugs.

If the engine uses turbo plugs there are 2 things you must remember:

1) you cannot use regular plugs in an engine that uses turbo plugs without putting on a standard head button &

2) I don't think that engines that use turbo plugs use shims (please correct me if I am wrong on this one).

Engines that use turbo plugs do use head shims, but no washer under the plug.

Excuse me for being a little out of the loop on this being new to the sport but where do you put the shim?

under the cooling head, they sit on the top of the crank case, and when u put the cooling head on, it sits on the shims, and thats how u get the clearance.

Gotcha thanks a lot......... Got a question about engine I'm currently running, I have the hyper .21 race engine and it has a head shim on it, would I need to remove it due to the fact that I'm using 20% fuel and a MC8 plug because I have been having some serious problems trying to break this thing in?

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that. I have never owned an engine that used turbo plugs :D
