I keep having to replace my pullstart?

I keep having to replace my pullstart on my Ravager (Force .28) ? It gets cut or melted constantly and at $24 + or - each it's frustrating.

Any ideas how of what I should do, electric start or more manual pullstarts...? [:o]

Yes I have heard of this problem on the Ravager. You can all ways just replace the handle or string. Better yet get a starter box. Good Luck.

A started box seems to be too much to carry since I only bash the car around parks or BMX parks. That's why I'm curious to know if I should keep buying pullstarts or invest in a battery powered/shaft starter?

With something like a Roto Starter you will still have a lot to tote around and you are subject to have more problems with it then a starter box. But to run a starter box you will more then likely have to get different engine mounts or a bigger flywheel. Check out the below link for shaft starters. Has a listing for your engine I do believe.

Good to know, so basically any alternative requiers me having to be careful or have to carry lot's of stuff around. I thought the Roto Start may be the less problematic for a basher like myself since there's no string to break and as long as I remember to charge the battery in the roto I would be fine.

If anyone know of a way I can put away the normal pull start so as not to break string as often I would appreciate them sharing it with me....

When starting loosen the glow plug a litle to reduce the compression. Once started tighten it back up.

The Ravager is know for melting the handle and string on the pull starter from the exhaust. Good advice but will not fix this problem.
