You and your Grandson have a good looking boat in the works, 71dart! What size hull is that overall, and what powerplant are you going to put on it?

Some of the best memories I have with my Grandpa are the ones of us building stuff. A real 14' runabout, endtables, dressers, jewelery boxes and, yes, model boats.

its the same as the first one i built 24x12 with O.S.25 for power
this one is all him fitting and mixing the epoxy and putting it where it goes
the first i tried a plastic from work for top deck and it does not stick very good to
the wood that was three years ago so this one is all wood and better built.
he can run as hard as he wants and turn as sharp and it will not flip (I tried)
great for a 6 year old
