Default RE: getting into airboats question

cost is about the same as any rc nitro boat & can actually be cheaper
in the long run if you like to build your own hulls & switch motors around
the fun factor goes up if you build a flat bottom the can run wet or dry
the dangers of a air boat are low due to runnin plastic or composite props
a wood prop is a no no on the water they splinter & are verryyyy dangerous[sm=angry.gif][sm=thumbdown.gif]
it actually less risk then a airplane prop gettin you[X(]
sorry havent had any hands on the airforce boat[&o]

you have to take the standard precautions you would with any set of knives spinning at 13k rpm...

as far as the aquacraft, check tower hobbies scratch and dent section, i picked one up there for a very good price. the stock rudder is very limiting, search back on my threads in this forum for some easy mods to help it turn. I also dumped out the tower hobbies .46 for an irvine .53. that actually turned out to be too much power for the hull, it becomes unstable at full speed, but it is fun!!!
