RE: SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Nice carvin ! I can see how you got the bottom and motor plate so flat with a router - how did you do the side angles ?
I'm curious how this will perform.

RE: SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Thanks Dadkins, I have been practicing this kind of carving for sometime now. It gets easier if you have the right tools and careful planning.
Sorry for the blurry picture. I use a powered planner a sander and a router with a plunger. These tools are just the start. I finish the shaping with a piece of sand paper 3m 77 glue and some scrap wood. The real trick is patience, reading and practicing.

Yes, you can also say the same about the composite props as well. Any prop that close to the ground/ water can be damaged regardless of what it is made of. As a safety factor I replace my composite props often due to stress caused by spray. My life is worth a $ 4.00 prop any day.

WOW very nice ! What color are you going with ? One I made I left pink and painted a pink panther on it - reminds me of yours.
Must be nice to have lakes that are liquid this time of year.

Thanks Dadkins, I 'm thinking for saphire blue and primer white. I don't really know what kind of skeem will be used. The boat was just built for a concept project only not a play boat.. Things shortly changed and it looks like it's going to be a play boat.
Having liquid is very nice. I have never seen a lake down here frozen just a little crunchy around the edges.

No, I really don't care about the servos getting wet. Normal running will not hurt them it's when you flip it and the servos get dunked. Then just pop the zip ties pull them off unscrew the bottom drain the water. Fire up another boat and wait.
