I think the second one looks good, but it so much cheaper to build it yourself out of foam, a rubbermaid container and a few other things. The most expensive thing is an engine.

Other things you need are epoxy, hinges, etc...

Yea .15 is pretty small. Go for a .40-.46
You could find one on Ebay if your lucky for under $100.
At a LHS they could be from $70-$150 more or less.

Ask Selph Inflicted, he sells some hulls(not hauls).

It really is easy to build your own man! It only takes like half a brain to do

Yea, I am going to build another airboat out of foam. I use Bluecore foam(a.k.a. fan fold foam or blue foam). You can also use the pink foam. They come in sheets and you just need to 1. laminate them together, to get the thickness of your hull and 2. sand to the shape you want. 3. cut a hole for radio gear and engine mount etc... 4. coat the foam in epoxy to make it waterproof.
They ride just as good as any other boat.
They fuel lines and throtle etc.. are not hard to set up, but I would try to find someone who could help you...You dont want to loose any fingers

For cutting the foam I just very carefully use and exacto knife.

The best resource I have found is Selph Inflicted's pictures on http://www.rcairboats.net
useing his pics you can sand out the shape of a hull and install engine and radio stuff...

I just a got a almost new OS .40 LA on ebay for $43 CDN. It is a good sized engine. It is a little underpowered for a .40 engine, but it should work great for an airboat.

If you like a Cajun Gator then by all means get a Cajun Gator.
I would get one, but I dont want to spend any money.

For the engine try to get a new one or as new as possible. Make sure it comes with a muffler and the pictures of it
show good condition.
I would recommend that you get a .46 engine. OS, Super Tiger, Evolution, Magnum, they are all good engines.
