RE: Intro and one I just finished!
Yeah I like it here in Florida, we have many ponds to play in!! We just have to watch for those big water lizards....
The spidy is a couple plastic Easter eggs, some pvc, and various survivor parts from slow flying aircraft that were introduced to objects much stronger than they.... motor and prop are GWS, old motor control ( 7.2 v ) and the Rec/TX is a 2 ch. Futuba. The hull is a boogie board and the wife made the web spidy is hanging on from pipe cleaners.... what a hoot. I used industrial strength velcro to mount the frame on the hull and also to keep the parts in place inside the head. That stuff is great...
It goes much faster than you see in the clip but the wife had the camcorder and well..... my ears will never be the same...
I have a video, but not sure how to upload it here. It's in wmv format and it doesn't look like thats supported here. Here's a couple more pics. If you wish we can PM and I'll send it to you....
Hey, I'm glad you responded, I believe I've seen some of your work on this or some other sites. Your airboats are great! I'm in the middle of a project and I've not built airboat rudder controls before. Would you have any suggestions on where to get a good cable linkage for the rudder control? I'm using a standard servo, nothing special. I've looked around here and haven't been very successful.....
Thanks,
Comongo

Thanks for the compliment! [8D]
For linkages use golden rod or 4-40 rod. You can find them at www.towerhobbies.com

Here's an excellent place to host your airboat videos and pics for free.
