Default Old airboat i just rebuilt, before and after

This dumas swamp buggy was pretty rough when i got it. it had seen alot of use but was in sound condition with no cracks or leaks.spent the last two weekends gettting it back into shape. I still need to reinstall the air and water rudders.

Looks VERY good ....
LOVE those little "personal" touches you added there .

What size engine you running there ? I've heard folks say that those need at least a 60 size engine to do them any good .

But , again , looks VERY good ![8D]

I have reinstalled the engine that was on it when i got it, an ASP .91, i think its too much but the first owner (just passed away and his wife needed to sell his rc stuff) had no problems other than haveing to add trim tab's on the stearn.

Wheres the flag? That would of been a nice touch by leaving it in that worn-away look. But hey it dose look rejuvenated! Good work and GL with it.[8D]

a .91 ???? WOW ... that thing will MOVE ( if its not too transom heavy )
And trim tabs ? Just curious , why ? If its butt-heavy , its probably just the engine . But , if its to stop it from propoising , then you need to adjust the thrust angle from your engine a few degrees

I aint got a clue on the trim tabs, never had a rc boat or airboat. when i get it in the water i will see what it does. with my luck it will sink.

Thank's, if the .91 is too much for me or the boat i have a OS .65LA that will go on it. all thats keeping it out of the water now is that i am waiting on a 75mhz radio from Tower.

Looks like a fine job. Hurry up and get that radio installed!! Make a few runs and get the hang of it, then load it up and come on down and race with us, we will pass a good time!
