Did you use 1/4" ply? It looks tough.

It is 14 X 26 X 2. I used 3/16" luan for top, sides and bottom. There are two pieces of 1/4" ply that run the lenght of the boat and engine tower. Im hoping that it will take some abuse.

What I have found that works REALLY well for some "abuse" is

two part foam ... this stuff once filled in , seems to REALLY strengthen the hull a HECK of a LOT !

I build a cat out of wood ( for a Zenoah ) and the RX got wet , my system went TOTALLY nutso and lost control . The boat , was doing about 3/4 throttle and ran STRAIGHT into the bank . mind you ... the little amount of damage sustained was unbelievable . The front split about 2 to 3 inches at the seam and a small area on the other side , the wood literally got ripped OFF the foam and the foam was still in its original shape .
I've tried oridinary styro and that blue hard stuff ( cutting it to fit ) but , the results are NOTHING like that 2 part foam ( besides ... it also adds floatation )
