Racing in Missouri, MABA
The MABA 2007 Nationals April 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th! Guys and Gals get ready for some fun and exciting racing in Rockaway Beach, Missouri, 65740, located 15 minutes from Branson. Airboats from .15 nitro to 1.6 nitro gassers from 15cc to 50cc, flat bottom and hydro hulls. And for you guys with the water prop hulls there will be fun races. All R/C boaters are welcome to some fun running with us. We have classes for the beginners and the advanced. This is a good time to get out and learn new tips on setting up your airboat, meeting new friendly people, enjoying a friendly race, and passing a good time. You will also find people that are willing to help you get your boat running, help with repairs, and you will have the chance to race with some of the best sportsmanship racers around.
Tune in your boats, get out and practice, come race with us and be ready for a smile to be placed on your face. Bring the kids, hand them the remote and witness the enjoyment. At the Winds of the Swamp race we had a 10 year old, young man take 1st place, racing for the first time, driving his Dad’s twin engine airboat. We also had another new comer, that raced a barrowed boat, to take a 1st place.
The MABA races are heat races, meaning points are earned for each race, then at the end of the races all points are added for both days of racing. This means that its not about how fast your boat is, its about how well you drive it and that you finish your race.

Well , myself , and a buddy are planning on coming down and ya'll better watch those gator tails and others ....
Lets just say , that I have been "fine" tuning my 1.48 on a canard and she's not gonna be smelling anyones exhaust fumes .
( not sure , because I have not read it , but modified engines hopefully ARE allowed , right ? )
Not gonna post any speeds , but lets just say ( so far , have not seen any posted on any forums , faster ) , that WHEN , you get stuck behind her , the water spray that comes off the water from behind her , will more than likely kill your engines ....
( did I hear anyone say - NEW SAW RECORD ? - LOL )

bring the mods on, if I get off of my rear end and get started on the next project(.90 nitro) it will kick some 1.48 butt. I have 2 boats to finish and one to get started on before I will have the time to get this thing going. Well I can't get it done sitting here, I'll see ya'll on the pond.

Less than 23 days to go before the race. I am finshing up two boats for the race. Looking on the map I will have 1099 miles to Drive and about 18 hours on the road. Right now it looks like there will be at least three from north Florida that will be there and will have at least 8 or 9 boats all Gassers.

Looks like I may just get this thing done in time for the race, will give details on this build after the race, if nothing else it looks fast Not sure on how many are coming with me, just yet. Planning to bring 2 or 3 gassers and 4 or 5 nitros, may even throw a puller together to run that class. Gets my blood moving just thinking about racing.

Not going to post the speed, you will just have to go to one of the MABA races and see it for your self.

Nope not gonna post a top end vid here either...May be by the time of the NFMABA race I have her dailed in.

Oh how true that is and a very good way of putting it, still needing to run a lot of fuel through it and get it good and broke in. Better add in a case of the cold stuff and a towel.
Don't think we will be able to grab our own tells even IF we wanted to, with all of the excitment of raceing, they do not bend.

A week to go and we will be ready to race. I put a upgraded engine on a small gasser 25cc to 27cc. By the GPS it was well worth it. Hope to see you there.

Guess I will just have to wait until we are side by side, to see just what the GPS told you. I've run the 25cc and the 27cc and I know the difference, something tells me I will be in for some hard core racing.
