run on ice snow

run on ice snow
hi as i live in Scotland brrrrrr
think its going to be a cold winter would like to take my boat out in the snow but only got gloss paint on top of the wood need to adda bit of thin metal under it to protect the wood want to try it on ice that be funny as long as it not sink lol if i add thin strips of metal under the hull will it affect the boat in the water !!
The pic of me holding the boat was after a wee crash put a hole in the side lol just incase you not seen it here it is lol

and that was it with a knackard engine got a new sc 61 ripped the engine mounts off made new ones so its ready to go !

if your gonna run on ICE , then I would suggest ONLY adding a layer of resin , OR glass and resin to the bottom section(s) that will make contact with the ice . ( no need for added weight ) And no ... this little added weight ( resin ) will not affect your hulls ability to float .
You would be surprized at how LONG lasting that little thin layer of resin will do when running on ice . ( I have a buddy , who has had his initial layer now , for a couple of years , and this guy is nutso when running - LOL )

Hi thank you for your reply so resin I take it you mean fiber glass resin ? any tips on how to do this would be fantastic !
