hi...have a 31inch dumas swamp buggy...i also have a thunder tiger 61 pro engine....i am fitting a rear rudder..for water use only.... is this engine to big for this boat..and the angle of attack on the motor mount ..is that to sharp.....your thoughts guys...bob

I believe you are talking about the "Big Swamp Buggy" right? If so, yes you can put a .61 engine on it, but you had better be good at getting the balance perfect(boat to run level) as this boat set up right will fly. Mine with an O.S.61VR(20 yrs ago) actually made it to about 6 feet in altitude before it remembered it was an airboat not an airplane. Did not do too much damage. Dennis

dennis....where do you put the balance point...1/3 rd from the transome..same as a mono..or do you think this eng is TOOOOObig..and yes it is the big swamp buggy ..bob

My big swamp buggy works with a.61 motor
I added a elevater tab on the outboard side of
each rudder . It will take a little trial and error
to get the size and angle set, but it works great.

Boatnut is correct. You should start around 30% and work from there. Each boat is built different(weight & balance wise), so you have to work with your balance point and engine angle to get it where YOU think it runs best. Good luck and remember to post pictures or video or both. Dennis
