Sarasota Area Boaters??
I have been out of the hobby for sometime. I kept & stored my boats[sm=thumbup.gif] that I used to run weekly. I wanted to get back running & was wondering if there is anyone nearby that would like company. I used to run at a lake near I-75 & Fruitville. There was a small club there then, but is no more. I just wanted to hear from someone that may have a place, or you can try mine.

Hi there! While I don't hail from sarasota I am nearby, here in good ole North Port. I've found a good looking lake in venice right off of pembrook and venice ave behind the strip mall for top speed runs - it's 1/4 mile long, protected from the wind and about 75 yards wide. Drop me a line if you are ever down this way!

I USE TO BELONG TO THE SARASOTA WHITE CAPS THAT RACED AT THAT POND. I HAVE MOVED TO N.C. BUT I KNOW MY DAD RUNS HIS BOATS AT THE CHARLOTTE STADIUM NEAR ENGLEWOOD. HE ALSO RACES WITH THE BRANDON MODEL BOATERS IN BRANDON OF COURSE. IF YOU NEED MORE INFO LET ME KNOW . THANKS
