Default SF Bay Area, RC Boat Club

Hey,
Looking into starting a RC Boat Club in San Francisco and checking locations on where it is possible to run high speed boats. Has anyone tried Lake Merced? I know there is a group in Fremont, but they are a little to far for me. I am a member of NAMBA.

Ok,
So not much of a San Francisco crowd.  Here is the deal, just looking to start a club at Lake Merced in SF.  I have a request out to the parks and rec and waiting for a response.  I run a sport 40 II Winston Eagle Lobster Boat with nitro and was looking to get a group together to have fun on the lake.  The Fremont group is a little far for me to go every weekend.<br type="_moz"/>

I tried sprekels lake already.  They have a 15mph speed limit and they are more of a model sailing club.  Thanks for the tip though.
