Default boat propellers plz help !!

I'm currently building a hydroplane outrigger boat ,its 48" long and weighs 10)bs.10oz it has a 25cc weed wacker motor for power, 3/16 flex shaft with strut and an offset rudder ( awaiting delivery) this boat has no plans its from an idea in my head ... Question what size propeller ,dia and pitch. I haven't any clue where to start. Ty

I would contact Mark Sholund. He has a prop business where he finishes and sells props. I'm sure, if he doesn't have one that will work, he would have a good idea on where to start. His website is

For a 25cc motor in that kind of setup the magic of the Prather 270 would be appreciated. It is a great all round prop that will get just about anything with a gas motor running at fun speeds or better. The prop comes standard with a 1/4" Hub but get a reducer. Also consider having it sharpened and balanced if you are not ready to tackle it yourself. Keep in mind the dust from beryllium props is hazardous to your health!! https://www.bonzisports.com/product/...eller-prather/ It is also available in staniless Steel - a little harder to finish but will always be shiny - and not as hazardous to work with.
