That's American RC. They make the "Ripper" and a Baja type hull. I think he is talking about their Baja.

I wanted to know if anybody has one or seen one.It is Centralillinoispowerboats 57 apache.Sometimes when you want to buy something,it is not the best thing to do by asking the person selling it the questions.I like to here what other people think.

I have heard lots of things about lots of hulls , but I can only state the two from my own personal experience ( owning them both ) .
One is Vern's 48 incher ( Vern- FORABUCK ) and the other being a Offhsore Models Teamstrike Generation 3 . Both hulls were very good . Handled chop excellently , but , IMO - the TEAMSTRIKE outdid the 48 by Vern .
( reason - the TEAMSTRIKE was easier to get setup - meaning so that it ran dry when on plane . Unlike Verns , which eventually did ride nice , but took some working on to get there . So , to summarize - the TS is easier to setup right than the 48 by vern . The TS is also 57 inches verses Verns 48 . )
Also , I have not personally seen others run , since I am the only one around my area that runs boats .[&o]

Bob, not unless he's moved. I saw on that auction site that he said that he had a web site. I did a search and found nothing. I'm just wondering if this person is splashing an already splashed hull! That would be too funny! These were originally Expesscraft hulls that the Cat was made from. Vern was doing those and an Aeromarine mono hull.

Toyboy, will let you know soon about the 57 Apache. Have one on the way. I talked to Scott and asked lots of questions. He assured me it is not a chop gun spray- on but actually hand laid-up hull and the stringers are marine birch ply. Comes with radio box. Will report back to you about the fit of the homie or the 32cc mac. A good rough water hull is the 48"Challenger. Have one with a 230PUM and with WHH water coled pipe, inside the hull, will hit almost 45 mph. It started to get too loose so I backed off. The Challenger will not take the homie if you want to run with the hatch. The Zenoahs just barely fit the height.

After doing some more research, I did find his web site. He is a full-sized boat dealer and Manufacturer does make a full-sized offshore boat kit. Whether or not has has splashed an Expresscraft, I can't say. His could be an original. At least he is on Jim's site answering questions.

If you want the original large scale offshore boat ,get an Apache 57" from Aeromarine Laminates.

Offshore is not retailing boats anymore anyway, you have to locate a dealer that carries them.
