Proboat speed control
Has anyone used the Proboat speed control that Horizon advertizes on their site? Does it contain a BEC? It it does it would seem to fit all my requirments, eight cell capable, cheap and forward/rev. The only thing I can't seem to find out is if contains a BEC.

RE: Proboat speed control
As a matter of fact I do use them in most all boats from a small single motor to my Mr. Darbys (one for each motor). They work great. It is tough to beat for $40.00 As for BEC, yes they do have it but I always disable that feature on boats. I like to run a separate battery pack for the reciever. I believe they have a current rating of 20A. They will power a 550 sized motor with no problem. I do not know about using really hot motors with them, you would have to know how much current the motor/prop combination is drawing.
Hope this helps,
Pete
