I have a Wal-Mart toy boat I use on a pond. I'm looking to upgrade to something beginner-hobby grade. I ordered a Traxxas Villian IV, but then found out they're completely sold out. I already got the water cooling kit for the Villian IV.
I'm trying to decide what to order instead. So far, I'm looking at either the Traxxas Villian EX or the Cen Racing Aqua Jet from offshoreelectrics.com. I'm looking for opinions on which of the two, or other recommendations. I don't care if I can still use the water cooling kit I have or not.
I'm want a boat that:
[ul][*] Is electric[*] Will go fairly fast (at least 15 - 20 MPH)[*] Has long run times (I don't know what long run times are, but better than average)[*] Will be able to keep running by replacing the batteries without burning up the motor(s) or esc[*] Is Ready To Run
[/ul]
I don't know if there is such a boat, but I'd like to get as close to that as I can. I have no problem adding water cooling to get the increased run time. Other than that, I don't want to make any immediate modifications.
I don't plan to race. I have 2 pairs of brand new 3000 mAh Ni-MH 7.2V battery packs I'd like to ba able to use.
Thanks for the input.

Guver,
Thanks for the recommendations. I'm glad you believe that the Villain EX is a good choice since I am still interested in a Villain.
mpotr6,
Thanks for both of your responses. I had placed an order for the Villain IV from a place that listed it in stock, but then didn't have it. I checked with 4 - 6 other places who listed it, but were also out. I actually DID order the Villain IV from Tower. I'm not sure how I missed the fact that they had it.
Thanks again,
Alan
