RE: UNOFFICIAL HOMEBUILT BOAT THREAD
All my boats are scratch built, but your first
post didn't provide anything for my scratch building needs.[&:]
Not a kit in the bunch.

So if your not providing sources for scratch builders what is the purpose of this thread?
It can't be just a showcase thread as there are plenty of them on the other posts.

how can you build a cat like that with no plans?
how can you build a cat like that with no plans?
its not hard you just have to look at it from a literal point of view and decide what to build first and the most important parts that will make up the hull design
and i forgot about my mono hull
here it is with out plans

Eyecandy - I love those cats with outboards...looks pretty scale too! How long is it? What size motor are you running? Any pics of the underside?
Here is my NO PLAN 42.5" fiberglass Vee that I cut the deck off and retired. It had a 25cc Homelite in it.
Stupid me didn't take any pics of it running before I stripped it down.

Here is my 19" super light balsa/foam made sprint cat. It flies on just 6 cells and a 17T motor. This boat was made from plans (XL Cat by Jay Turner). It handles awesome!

RE: UNOFFICIAL HOMEBUILT BOAT THREAD
I would like to try and build a timber speed boat from a kit but am finding it hard to find something. Any suggestions on where to buy one? It would be mono and electric. I have twin motors and electrics already. Thanks.
P.S. I am in Australia so any help from here would be great!

RE: UNOFFICIAL HOMEBUILT BOAT THREAD
I need a longer drive shaft, 4 mm shaft with a 6 mm OD tube casing, that's at least 10" long - Any ideas about where I can buy 4mm shafting and casing ?
