has any one tred this??
has any one ever tried to use a sevro to adjust the trim tabs or trim will driving boat¿ i just though of the idea while building my gas boat last nite. i think it will work but ude need like a cloths hanger pin thingy for a spring it will hold the trim tab so it doesnt flap around. wile driving.

Has it been done? Yes, but not by me. There are several ways it could be done, just depends on how ambitious/exacting you are. Gears of levers for small adjustments, for instance. Don't really see any reason why you can't do it. Have fun...

Theres plenty of ways to adjust trim tabs. There are also adjustable arnesons and stern drives. I even did an adjustable strut on a gas outrigger some years back (no real gains there). The swashdrive jet has adjustable nozzle trim that can be mixed in with steering and throttle to deliver a little more control - but the work involved in setting this up may exceed the value.
In reality you will find that adjustment is more gimick than need. Most rc boats have an optimal trim and any losses in performance under different conditions are neglegible.
