Hello all,
I just had a quick question about prop pitch calculation of the Voodoo props. I sent an e-mail to Greg but was wondering if anyone could possible shed some light on the pitch calculation listed on his site for the 7016-3 prop. It is obviously a 2.76 inch prop (70mm) and is listed as a 1.6 pitch ratio and if you multiply those two together, you actually get 4.416 pitch inches. He has the prop listed as 4.094 pitch inches. Is this possibly because the prop is modified to have a variable pitch along it's surface area or maybe an average pitch calculation or is there some other reason it could be 4.094? I've just recently gotten more seriously into boats (Blackjack 55) and want to have an "apples to apples" frame of reference for comparison vs. the Prather 270 prop it came with and others I may use. Thanks in advance for any insights and responses.
