Default Water proofing LiPo batteries

How do you prepare a LiPo battery for use in a boat? Is there anything special I should put the battery in or warp it in? If the boat crashes or sinks, is there anyway to keep a LiPo battery from shorting, exploding, catching fire or just plain dying?

leave it. nothing special. buy them and use them
If you have or get water in your boat during a run. stop and fix the leak until you have a water proof boat.

You can seal the battery around where the wires come out of the pack with silicon, thats what I do and it works great.

I guess I'll just put them in some small, cheap plastic tupperware and silicon seal it with the wires out. These batteries aren't being used in the kind of RC boats the people on these threads are used to. It's a very large autonomous robot that uses GPS. It's a local school competition. Since we're switching from D size NiMH to LiPo, we'll have more room for water proofing.
