Does anyone know a Kevin Cader in Godfrey Illinois??? I bought a airboat from him a month ago, sent a money order and I havn't heard from him. As I said in my title post, "Sorry to post this" But getting ripped off is getting me mad. I thought I would go to the boat forum and see if anyone knows him or might be able to help me.
Thanks Guys

Maybe you n BIG hoss should take a ride over to Godfrey, and try to persuade this jerk into giving up the goods....[>:],if not viable, and you used a postal money order, contact your local postal inspectors, and the local law enforcement of Godfrey,Illinois to do a follow up......[:-]

I used a bank money order,,,, he waited 3 working days to see if the check was good. ( It was) Thats the last I heard. I called the police in Alton Illinois. The cop said he was very sorry that there was nothing he personally could do. I lost only $125 . BUT......... I got ripped off. I was hoping that someone on RCU lived near him and could perhaps help me with this issue. THIS DOES SUCK.......

Tidnab,,,,
Another good suggestion. I will look up members in that area to see if they might pay Kevin a visit. As I am replying to this, my local police dept are on their way here to fill out a report. Hopefully that will get thing rolling too. As I dig a little deeper, Kevin Cader ripped off another fellow RCU member of a P51 mustang. If at all interested,,,look up Kev05Bravo. He was suspended
thanks again you guys

Since my last reply,
I just filled out a report with the local police. This is theft. The police dept will contact him by phone and I gave him a week for delivery. If I do not receive the package, Our police will contact the police in Godfrey Illinois and they will charge him with theft. Mabe,,,,just mabe I might get satisfaction.

The normal thing to do here if it was purchased through the RCU Marketplace is to contact John (JWN) but there still isn't much that he can do besides suspend his account here.
The only reason why this thread is staying here for now is more for informational reasons as noramlly these are supposed to be tossed.
If the deal wasn't done on this site we can't do a thing for you even if the person is a member here. If you ever see a deal that looks too good to be true, report it right away. We've had more than our share of scammers on this site with tricks such as the "I'll send you a big fat check, cash it for me and keep part of it for your trouble plus I'll arrange for pick-up" type of scams while they tap out your checking and savings accounts. I'm also leery of anyone who isn't an active member in these forums as this person probably isn't.
It sure doesn't hurt to ask in here about a deal before sending someone your hard-earned cash.

FYI:
I had this happen to me on here a couple of years ago. I sold a R/C truck to a guy in Milwaukee Wisconsin and being very trusting, I sent him the truck the day he said he sent me the money. Well, long story short, he got the truck and I got nothing. I was able to keep in contact via phone and e-mail (surprising, huh?) however, when I would call it was his father that would answer the phone. I went round and round with this clown and finally had had enough. I went down to the local fuzz and explained to them my dilema. The investigator called the person and I don't know exactly what the cop told this clown but the rip off artist sent me the money by Fed Ex, delivered the same day it was sent!
So, to make a long story short, don't get frustrated call the cops. They have access to phone numbers and identification (licenses and who knows what else) that we do not.

I have his cell # 618-795-9802. He shuts the phone off though. As I said before, I contacted our local police. They were going to contact him. If there is no response from Kevin Cader,,,, The police in Godfrey Illinois will handle this issue. This is now fraud and being done over the internet makes it a federal case. This will be getting interesting.

A week ago Monday I called my local police. The cop that took the complaint called Kevin Cader from his cell phone. The Officer gave Kevin 1 week to ship the Package. Well..........UPS showed up at my house yesterday (Monday)with 2 packages. I opened them both in front of the UPS driver. Both packages were in very good shape and no damages. So, "I am happy" Thank you guys for your interest in this matter. I been dealing over the internet for years with great success. This time it scared me.
Thanks again Guys
