How do you store your boats?
Hi all.
With a new boat in the mail, the question arrises: How do you store your boats in your shop?
Ideas I have had are: a sling from the ceiling hanging it up, resting upright on the wall on a shelf, with a clip around the bow, etc.
These are mainly monohull speed boats.
Photos would be really useful!
thanks for your help,
cowana

RE: How do you store your boats?
Cowana,
My boats remain on their stands all the time, even in the off season.
Only difference for the off season is I remove the engines, take them apart, clean them, pickle them and store them in a zip-lock after.

Although I don''t have the space to have them set out like that, I could make them new stands, and attach them to the wall (sort of like shelves). Thanks for the picture.
Keep your ideas coming!

RE: How do you store your boats?
Tables, lots and lots of tables. Two workbenches, an 8 footer, two aluminum folding tables and an old dining room table. I tried shelving units but the bigger boats wouldn''t fit in them.
My wife really hates it when she has to move them off the washer and dryer.

Build yourself a good boat stand and you can just leave your boat on it when not in use. On the bench or the floor.
I had racks above my bench when I had a smaller workshop space which did the job. I have since gained more space and made some basic racks with 4 x 2''s which works fine.

Thanks for the laugh Blizard.
I only have 2 runners. 8' PT & a 3' Amsterdam tug. The black stuff are the speakers & amplifiers for the boats.
And build 60 to 70 boats each year to give away. Lowes is a great help to me.
