Default Where does one buy "Pink Foam"?

I've seen it and I've read posts where folks build with it, but I don't know where to find it. Is this just found in hobby shops? I looked at foam at Lowes and Home Depot and the only thing I can find that looks remotely like it would be good to build a boat from is R-Max foam that has a silver/grey paper on each side that one could peel off. I insulated a trailer with this stuff and I know that it is farily stiff and cuts cleanly with a sharp knife or band saw. It comes in thicknesses from 1/2" to 1". If nothing else can be found, I'll try using the R-Max foam.

What works best to glue sheets of foam together to get a thicker piece?

The Pink and Blue Foam that we all use is insulation foam.

You should be able to get that at any good Hardware shop.

I suppose that the local Home Depot and Lowes just don't stock it or are out. I think I've seen the blue foam at one of them before, but today, there was neither blue or pink foam at either store. I have another Lowes nearby that I can check with and a surplus place that had some foam when I was there once, but not sure if they have the right kind and what I saw was at least 4" thick. I want 3/4" or 1" so I can make cutours to the depth I need and laminate the sheets together after doing the cutting. I can also laminate pieces of 1/4" plywood in places for stiffeners and something solid to mount the engine stand to.

Blue foam is a Dow product http://building.dow.com/styrofoam/na/res-us/products/
Pink foam is an Owens Corning product http://www.owenscorning.com/around/i...ucts/index.asp

Try new home construction sites. You might have to do a little dumpster diving though. Unless you plan on using a lot of it, a 4'x8'x2" sheet will cost you around $24.00 or so. Some of the Home Depot's or Lowe's might have some broken sheets that you might be able to get cheap.
