flotation devices?
I have recently aquired a used Kyosho Nitro Viper GT, and it has no extra flotation devices inside the hull. What would be the best material to use to keep this boat afloat in event of a rollover/swamping?

Try one of those pool noodles. They seem to work pretty well.
Then again, I have a little of everything stuffed in mine.. chunks of styrofoam, pool noodle, ....

The pool noodle idea works great. Another few ideas.....
Plastic bag stuffed with foam packing "acorns" fits in funny shaped places.
Foam pipe insulation available from hardware stores works great. Kind of like a small sized pool noodle.
Blocks of foam hot glued to the inside of the hull work as well.
Whatever you do, DO NOT USE SPRAY FOAM!!!! It is very easy to split your hull apart with it if you use to much.

flotation devices?
Well, herin lies the problem, when I got the boat, the previous owner had it fully assembled and now there is no way to access the interior of the hull to put in a noodle, or even acorns. Would it be best to split the top of the hull off, and then re-seal it, or is there something other than the spray foam that would flow in easily from a small hole?

I have had good luck with the minimal expanding spray foam. It's made for doors and windows and stops expanding when it runs out of air. I would try to cut a hole as large as possible incase the foam grows too much. Only spray a small amount in and wait several hours. It takes a while for it to stop expanding, don't just assume it's done and spray in more. The foam can weigh alot too, so becareful on how much you use. Good luck and take your time!

balloons sound like the answer to your problem! you can find good quality heavy duty ones at a good party store. Slip em in and blow em up! maybe even heavy duty uh..... lets see, the military used to call them muzzle covers in WW2
There's a lot of products out there that have dual use applications, for instance, what do you think makes a great absorbant material for your rado box to protect against moisture? and comes with a string so you can pull them out? ~
Be creative is all I'm saying

Today I broke my last rubber band that held the radio box in place. I rumaged through my wifes dresser drawers and found one of her hair ties. It fit's perfect and is alot stronger! I'm going back in for a second to carry as a spare!

If you have no way into the hull at all then your set allready. If this area is completly airtight, then it will act as a bouancy chamber itself, unless of course the boat gets split in half or somethinglike that.
