Looking for 1/8 scale HYDROPLANE
Looking for 1/8 scale hydroplane . The design I would like is of late 90 s to today s era . I would prefer today s era of the T 5 bud design or even a 2 wing to. I m racing in my own club and the boat does not have to be registered

Try Phil Thomas at: http://rcmarinedesigns.20megsfree.com/scale.htm but have your pop-up blocker on! He might have just what you're looking for and one of the best to deal with.

Good call Ron. CXTX05, are you planning to race this boat or are you looking at it as a toy? Before you buy anything, if you're planning on racing, you should contact the club you want to race with and see if the boat is available. Boats are registered to keep from having duplicates on the water, which can lead to crashes, damaged boats or worse.

Being up in Washigton state you have both NAMBA and R/C Unlimited. I know that R/CU requires the boat to be registered but being on the other side of the country, I don't know about what NAMBA requires. HJ is more in tune of what's happening over there. It's first come, first serve in R/CU and probably a waiting list on most of the Bud boats.

Doug Shepherd on IW builds a nice hull. I believe he builds the exact one you specified earlier, the T-5. He is located in Madison Indiana.

Actually, Unlimiteds Northwest is the NAMBA club and they are just like R/C Unlimiteds. In fact, several people are members of both clubs. Does your club have some sort of insurance in case of accidents?
