Default Shaping Prop

Working on a Y535 for my Miss Vegas Deuce. I know it's suggested not to mess with the prop nut side of the blades, but what about this ridge running the length of the blades edge?

Can tell by looking at the edge it needs to be sharpened and balanced. I may also need the toung removed on the coupler end or the front.

That ridge does need to be removed. Just stop when you have it flat and level with the rest of the prop blade face and do the rest of your shapening and balancing to the back side of the prop.

Do not breathe the dust from the filing/sanding of the prop. It's lethal. I sand my props in a tub of water. Keeps the dust under control.
