I ordered dunlap crackerbox plans from rcstore.com...
Does anyone know how much deadrise the plans have in them? I'm looking for something closer to 5 degrees like the zippkits I-box. But from pics on the net the bottom looks a little flat I'm thinking it only has 3 degrees like the N-box. I may have to alter the plans or buy an I-box.
Thanks!

It would have been cheaper to buy an I Box by the time you buy all the wood needed to build a cracker, especially if you use aircraft grade plywood.Since you have the plans ordered you can adjust the degree to what you want.Oxford County Crackerboxes has the revised frames, which are off from one side to the other on the plans.Might have to join to view them.Just save them to your computer and print out.Might have to increase them in size if needed.Their plans have a 3 deg and 5 deg on them ,but I don't know if that is the total for both sides.I think the legal definition would be 1/2 of the 3 deg(1.5 deg) or 2.5 deg on each side to give a total of 3 or 5 Not clear on that as I don't race and it doesn't matter. http://occrackers.multiply.com/photo.../Miscellaneous

A good raceing C box would be the Z box, for a play fun boat get the Vbox, both from Zipp Kits I have built all 4 of there C boxes, the V box is my fav, pics on zipp site. Larry B

Also I have heard some of the crackerbox plans out there do not have symetrical bulkheads ...in other words the left side of the boat isn't quite the same as the left.. not sure if thats the case on your plans however....
