Default I am new and need help

I am new to boat building and i am trying to build one for pretty cheap. I have started one made out of balsa(I dont know if that was a good choice or not). I am wondering how i should seal it so water cant get in and how to do all the electrical stuff. Also, what i should buy for an engine, remote, ex.....

thanks for the help,

To seal the hull, coat it with either epoxy or fiberglass resin and lay a layer of glass over it. BEFORE it drys, apply more of the epoxy/resin to seal in the glass. This will need to be done both inside and out. Before you do this, however, you will need to have your running gear all installed. As far as what to buy, we would need to know what kind of boat you are making, how big it is and what kind of boating you plan to do when it's done to give really good information.

Things you still need?
Engine, header w/springs, pipe & pipe bracket, pipe coupler (this is going to be nitro right?)
Motor mounts
Flexshaft tube (brass tubing .010 dia)
3/16" Flexshaft w/propshaft, drive dog & prop nut
Strut w/bracket
Rudder w/bracket
2 Servos (eg HiTec 85 MG for throttle; 645 for rudder)
Servo mounts
256 Servo linkages w/clevis's
Receiver w/attenna tube and attena mount (Futaba FM recievers are cheap if used)
Transmitter (eg Futaba FM radios are cheap if bought used)
Battery pack
Gas tank
Fuel tubing

Is the type of info you're asking for? Or if it is how to rrange things, take time to look at pics of other people's monos for ideas. I'd be more specific but I'm fairly new to boats myself, and I've only had hydros).
